Kate es esa actriz de Hollywood que a todo el mundo le suena su cara, pero sabemos realmente quien es? / Known but unknown, loved but in a discreet way, stylish and beautiful, nice and attractive, intelligent and with with guts. Kate is that Hollywood actress everyone knows, but do we really know who she is?

Fue el lunes pasado cuando se me ocurrió escribir sobre Kate Beckinsale. Si pienso en ella, me viene a la cabeza la película Click,y Total Recall, ademas de eso, sabia que tenia estilo y clase para vestir, pero poco mas. Fueron las fotos de los Globos de Oro del pasado domingo, los que me hicieron decidirme por dedicarle un post. La actriz estaba radiante con el vestido palabra de honor con corte sirena de color plata de Zuhair Murad Otoño 2013, claramente este post tenia que ser para ella. / It was last Monday when I decided to write about Kate Beckinsale. If I think of her, it comes to my mind the movies Click and Total Recall, apart from that, I know she was stylish and class to dress but nothing more. The pictures of the last Sunday Golden Globes, were the reason why I have decide to dedicate this post to her. The actresses was gorgeous with a strapless mermaid silver Zuhair Murad Fall 2013 couture gown, clearly this post had to be about her.

Quien es Kate Beckinsale? / Who is Kate Beckinsale?

Kate nació un 26 de Julio de 1973 en Reino Unido. Hija de Judy Loe, actriz británica conocida para trabajar en producciones inglesas de drama y de Richard Beckinsale, que fue un popular actor británico de comedia de los 70. Por desgracia, Richard falleció en 1979. Kate creció con su madre, y obtuvo la mejor educación posible asistiendo a colegios privados en Londres. Siendo adolescente demostró habilidades en la escritura ganando en dos ocasiones el premio W.H.Smith de Jovenes Escritores. / Kate was born on July 26th 1973 in UK. Daughter of Judy Loe, british actrisses known for working into drama British movies, and Richard Beckinsale, a popular British comedy actor in 70's. Unfortunately, Richard pass away in 1979. Kate was rise by her mother and got a great education attending to London's private schools. As an teenager she prove she was a great writer by winning twice the British booksellers W.H.Smith Yong Winters' competition.

Su debut como actriz fue a los 20 años, mientras estudiaba en la Universidad de Oxford Literatura Francesa y Rusa. Para entonces Kate ya tenia claro que quería ser actriz, pero aun así Oxford era una oportunidad que no podía rechazar. De hecho, su tercer año de a la Universidad lo paso en París, en un programa de estudio de inmersión en la lengua francesa, y la cultura parisina. Fue justo durante su estancia en Francia cuando tuvo que decidir hacia donde encaminar su vida: o continuaba en la Universidad o se centraba en su carrera como actriz; Kate escogió la ultima. / Her acting debut was when she was 20 years old, while she was studding at Oxford University, her major was French and Russian literature. Back then Kate had clear she wanted to be an actress although Oxford was an opportunity she had to take. In fact, she spent her third university school year at Paris in a study-abroad program to get immerse into French language and the Parisian culture. Was that year when she had to make a choice: continue with school or focus on her acting carrier; Kate chose the last one.

Su primer salto al mundo de la moda fue como modelo en 2002 de la firma norteamericana GAP. Ese mismo año, Hello la nombre "la mujer mas bella inglesa". En 2008 apareció en el puesto 41 de la revista People de las 100 personas mas bellas. Esquire en el 2009 la nombro la mujer mas sexy. Y sucesivamente otras publicaciones la han incluido en la lista de mujeres mas sexy y deseadas. / Her first apperence in the fashion world was as a model in 2002 of the american brand GAP. The same year, Hello magazine named her "England's number one beauty". In 2008 she appered at number 41 in People Magazine's 100 most Beautiful People. Esquire in 2009 named her the sexiest women alive. And so on other publications place her name in the list of the most sexy and desirable women.

Kate estuvo saliendo 8 años con el actor Michel Sheen; con quien tuvo una hija, Lily Mo Sheen, en 1999 . Parecía una relación idílica, pero como pasa en Hollywood muy a menudo, la pareja se separo en 2003 despues de rodar Underworld. / Kate was dating actor Michel Sheen for 8 years, from that relationship was born Lily Mo Sheen in 1999. It seems it was a idyllic relationship but as usually happens in Hollywood the couple split in 2003 after filming Underworld.

Kate esta casada con Len Wiseman el 9 de Mayo de 2004. Kate conoció a Len mientras rodaban Underworld, el era el director. Sobre este tema se ha dicho mucho y a la vez poco, cuando se empezó a rodar la película Kate estaba con Sheen y Len casado pero durante el rodaje ambos se enamoraron. Kate se mudo en 2003 desde Londres a Brentwood, Los Angeles, para vivir con Len. / Kate marriage in May 9th 2004 to Len Wiseman. Kate met Len while they were sooting Underworld, he was the director. About this there are many gossip, when the shooting started Kate was with Sheen and Len was happy marriage, but during the filming they fall in love. Kate move in 2003 form London to Brentwood, Los Angeles, to live with Len.
